Beauty Boxes February 2014 Part 1

10:23 am

Recently, there has been a huge hype about different beauty boxes. So, I decided, it's time to try a couple that are on offer for Australians. I have only received these boxes this week, but I am telling you, go and order the March one NOW! I am not disappointed the least with the products I've received even without using some of them yet, and I'll tell you why in this blog. Before we get started, click here to order your first Bella Box, and here for your first Lust Have It box. They are both amazing, and since the two companies are affiliated with different brands you won't be doubled up on  products. You can't just order one companies box, you NEED both. They are definately worth the small amount of money you will pay.  Here in part one, I'm going to talk about Bella Box. In part two I'll talk about Lust Have It and shall link it here.

First I shall talk about Bella Box. I received 6 items, each valued from $10.99AU to $30.95. There are a couple of things I loved most about BB. Firstly, you get a 'beauty profile' to fill out. This kind of customises what is sent to you. The questions I thought made this company stand out, was about skin type, and hair type and the fact you could select multiple answers. It is great that a company like this understands there aren't just people with oily hair or dry hair, but a combination. BB really makes the whole thing seem really personal, and to be honest, I felt like I was receiving a gift from a friend. Now, the products.
Here is what I received.
1. Om She Aromatherapy Eye Liner Pencil - Gold (Gold pencil, bottom right corner).
2. Romy Eucalyptus & Lemongrass Body Lotion (green bottle top row, second from left).
3. Om She Aromatherapy Instant Vitality Face Cream (Pink tube, top row, second from right).
4. John Frieda Precision Foam Colour Conditioner (bottom left corner).
5. Bioderma Sebium Pore Refiner (top right corner).
6. Swisspers Naturals Aloe Nourishing Face Cream (top left corner).

When I first opened the box I was really impressed. The box itself was neat, and had the log on. Upon opening it you're greeted with the gorgeous smell of the products. All the products were wrapped in red tissue paper with a little red sticker that had 'bb' in the middle, and protected by bubble wrap in the bottom of the box. It made me feel so special. It smelt beautiful too.

The only product I have used from this box, is the John Frieda Precision Foam Colour Conditioner. This reason being that it's for hair that has been dyed, and I would not be able to give an honest opinion about it, since my hair is not dyed.

The Om She gold eyeliner, is really nice. If I am going for a bronze look, it works to give it a really subtle 'WOW' factor. The only thing I'm not too keen about, is that it's not very pigmented - it just doesn't show up very much on my skin tone. I'm almost 100% certain, that it would look more pigmented on a darker skin tone.
The Romy body lotion is so nice. It smells like you could eat it, and left my skin feeling, and smelling lovely. I think I would just buy it again to be able to smell it all the time.
The Om She face cream, was really lovely. It made my face feel really refreshed, and it was a nice cool feeling when applying it. I'm not too sure how well it works over time as I haven't had it very long, but I would buy it again, as a back up for when I run out of my staple face care.
Bioderma's pore refiner. Well, I'm not too sure about this product. It does work well as a sort of primer, it smoothes out the skin, and makes applying foundation a lot easier, but I'm not sure how much I like it. Although it smells nice, and makes my skin feel soft, it goes sticky before it dries and that's just a no no for me. I can't stand sticky.
Lastly, the Swisspers face cream. This was really refreshing on my skin. I loved it and I think I will look into more of this range, but I think as a sample pack, it needed to be in a tube or small tub. Once you open a little sachet like that, you have no way to store it if you have any left over. There was too much in the one sachet for one use, so instead of letting it go to waste I used it all over my body! I would have preferred to be ale to use it multiple times on my face to see it's full potential.

For those of you who are worried about it being a subscription box, you have the option to cancel at any time, and as far as I know, you don't incur any fee's. You can monthly, quarterly or yearly so it has options that suits everyone.
I definaltely recommend subscribing to this box and I'm looking forward to next months.
